A Simple and Smart App to Keep You Safe from Scams
“I first heard about Trend Micro ScamCheck through a friend who recommended it after getting several fake delivery messages. I also saw it mentioned in a tech forum about online safety apps.
I started using it around three months ago, in July 2025, and I’ve been using it regularly since then to check suspicious links and messages. I use it almost every few days, especially whenever I receive strange texts or WhatsApp messages that look suspicious.
The most useful thing for me is how quickly it can tell if a link or number is safe. I also love that it works with screenshots, so I can check suspicious messages without even opening them. The scam call and SMS blocking features have saved me a lot of stress.
The app sometimes takes a few seconds to load, and on Android, it needs to be the default SMS app to filter messages, which isn’t ideal for everyone. Apart from that, it works great most of the time.
I’d definitely recommend it to anyone who gets spam or scam calls often. It’s easy to use, clean, and helps you feel much safer online. Even if it’s not 100% perfect, it’s absolutely worth trying — especially for families and people who aren’t very tech-savvy.
