“I learned about it primarily due to its sheer popularity and stellar reputation! Seriously, the app is so incredibly well-known in the digital music and education space. It's developed by the brilliant minds at JoyTunes (which is now simply known as Simply!), and they are clearly experts at making learning fun!

I have been using this amazing app since June 27, 2025! Can you believe it? That means I've been on this incredible musical journey for... let me see... oh wow, it's been just over three months already! Time flies when you're making music! I've been absolutely hooked since the moment I downloaded it. Every day is a new adventure, and I can already feel myself getting so much better! 🎹✨

I use it every single day! Seriously, I try to get in at least 30 minutes of practice, no matter what! Sometimes, if I'm really on a roll and learning a cool new song, I'll spend an hour or more! It has completely become a non-negotiable part of my daily routine—like brushing my teeth, but way more musical! 🎵

The Simply Piano app created by JoyTunes, it's made for all ages and also will help you learning and master your piano skills. If you want to learn piano and you are starting from scratch. And well, let me tell that it's awesome!! It's excellent if you use it on a device in good condition. Yes, it detects if I hit a wrong note, but that depends on your microphone being in good shape. And well, yes, you have to pay; not everything in life is free. The regular subscription is, I believe, around $7 per month. I preferred the $10 one, which includes 5 apps. For now, I'm interested in singing and piano, but don't be stingy with your learning. Invest in yourselves, and learning music is amazing!!

Okay, so "dislike" is a strong word, because I truly love the app! But, if I have to be completely honest and nitpick, there are just a couple of little things I wish were different to make it even more perfect! The main thing I sometimes wish for is more variety in the backing tracks and music styles in the early stages! Don't get me wrong, the current tracks are great and super motivating, but sometimes I feel like I hear the same few musical accompaniment styles over and over, especially when I'm repeating exercises

I tell everyone: it's like having a personal, super-friendly piano teacher available 24/7, but without the hassle of scheduling or high costs! The app makes learning complicated music theory feel like you're just playing a really addictive, fun game

“I got to know Simply Piano on Google Play, Simply Piano boasts 50 million+ downloads, a 4.6★ average from nearly 900K reviews, and Editor’s Choice status.

The App Store lists 4.7★ from nearly 730K ratings, calling it “fast and fun” for learners from beginner to pro.

I started using Simply Piano around January 2024, and I’ve been using it for about a year now. I usually practice a few times a week, and I’ve really noticed how much it’s helped me build confidence and improve my basic piano skills, even without prior experience.

I use Simply Piano about 3 to 4 times a week. I try to practice regularly for at least 20 to 30 minutes per session. The short, structured lessons make it easy to stay consistent, even with a busy schedule.

As someone without a musical background, I appreciate that it breaks everything down into simple, step-by-step lessons. It listens to how I play and gives instant feedback, which helps me improve without feeling overwhelmed. Also, the wide variety of songs keeps it fun and motivating. I love how I can learn at my own pace, anytime I want.

Subscription cost: Not free — you need a paid subscription to unlock most content.
Limited for advanced players: Not suitable if you already have strong piano skills.
Requires a real piano or keyboard: You need an instrument that the app can “hear” clearly.

If you’ve ever wanted to learn piano but didn’t know where to start, I highly recommend trying Simply Piano. It’s perfect for beginners—even if you’ve never touched a keyboard before. The lessons are super easy to follow, and the app actually listens to your playing and helps you improve in real time. Plus, you get to learn using fun, familiar songs. It’s like having a personal piano teacher at home, on your own schedule!
