“I find Preply system unfair; a student made a report by mistake for missing class which I never missed as a teacher, I always attended all classes. I reported to the customer service and sent all screen captures of the chat with the student as a proof, also the student contacted Preply to explain that it was a mistake and I did attend all classes, but now the stats on my main profile show that I missed one lesson which is wrong. I was answered that unfortunately the system is automatic and they...can't do anything. Preply can't update this statistic. Also, my account was blocked. I didn't receive any email, sms nor any app notification for such important issue.
To me this is unacceptable. Besides there is a synchronisation problem with Google calendar: students can book unavailable timeslot. There are lot of problems with the virtual classroom which often freezes even if we have a good internet connection, and computers optimized for the class. So we need to use other applications. There are lot of bugs. The mobile app is not convenient and not optimized for the classes. The Preply commission is too high and we loose lot of money with the currency exchange to euros. And the customer service, even if the agents are very polite, and of course they are, is absolutely useless and not helpful, except for a lesson confirmation, I never got a solution to my problems. It's too bad because when I started using in December 2020, it was quite interesting but personally I had a very bad experience since then and it got worst and worst.
