“I have friends who use Linkedin. They recommended me to give it a go.

About 10 years ago since I have started using this as platform to find jobs.
So far not successful at all finding a job.

Once a week, I would check on the feed to see what is new.

Adding friends you know or being friends with someone who is a big deal on LinkedIn can help with networking. But that's it. Can't do much with that app.

I feel like I can hardly connect with anyone there and I personally think that Linkedin should make it compulsory to make companies explain why they turn down my application. Instead of making us guess of why we didn't get hired. Why not just get to the point and provide some feedback instead of not informing us? I find it frustrating every time when there isn't an explanation for the turndown of my application. We should tell them why, so we can improve ourselves for future endeavors of job hunting. Not informing us that we had been turned down is very discouraging for job hunters and may very well be the reason why people are sick and tired of looking for jobs on job listing sites like this.

Through connections and social media. I do occasionally recommend my friends to check on LinkedIn.

“Although I use, several job search applications and get regular matches too, but I feel the matching software that Linkedin uses matches perfectly.Atleast the major requirements are matched well and all I need is just fine tuning.In effect the software is good that matches keywords well.”

“Linkedin Jobs has a pretty good selection compared to most sites. The unique thing about Linkedin that they give you contact information (Linkedin URL) for the hiring manager. Also, it shows if you have any connections that currently work for the company.Found a job posting that I was interested in on Linkedin. You can also search Indeed or Glassdoor. Ignore their regular application process.
Made sure my LinkedIn profile was “All Star” level. Good profile pic, benefits driven headline, compelling summary.”
