OhmConnect United States Quick Overview

Ohmconnect provides home energy management solutions via smart meter analytics and energy market integration. Our innovative platform enables residential users to sell their energy reductions directly into energy markets via "demand response".

#OhmHours

It’s a brief window of time (usually on weeknight evenings) when demand on the energy grid is so high that utility companies would rather pay their customers to reduce our collective usage than the alternative - firing up a dirty, expensive “peaker” plant.

Currently, our service is only available to folks who live in California, where smart meter data is easily accessible and we can quickly and easily see how much electricity your household used in a particular hour.

Participating utilities include:

Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E)
Southern California Edison (SCE)
San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E)

“ I would love to participate in this program but after attempting to register, it appears that it is a California program . Other locations across the country could benefit from this. Please expand!!!
The registration process seemed easy. The part that was frustrating was that I had to attempt to register before anything was said about the program being for California residents. ”
